On Saturday, January 10th join transportation champions, community activists, public safety advocates, logistics experts, City School students, and officials as they come together for a day of brainstorming improvements to school transit.
Teams will form around the best ideas, and at the end of the day, Baltimore City Public School officials will choose the most promising and innovative projects for seed funding.
Selected teams will have 60 days to develop their ideas into prototypes. After that time, the prototypes will be demonstrated for BCPS officials. The most promising of these projects will be put into effect for the 2015-2016 school year.
Eligibility
This is a community event, anyone intersted in improving Baltimore City Schools can enter. You are expected to work in teams, which can be built out further after the event.
Requirements
Please submit:
- project name and description
- project goals (what problem you hope to solve)
- proposed budget (suggested not to exceed $2,500)
- other resources requested (data, expertise, etc)
- timeline (not to exceed 8 weeks)
Prizes
Project Funding
Selected projects will receive seed funding, based on their proposed budgets, from Baltimore City Public Schools. Funding will likely not exceed $2,500 per project. There is no strict limit on the number of projects that will be selected for funding.
